The Assignment:
Bernice wanted to create a book that would provide a platform for women in business to share their experiences and the wisdom they’ve gathered along the way. She assembled 20 authors who would contribute to her flagship book, but she needed someone to facilitate the writing process and help them polish their drafts for publication.
The Process:
I met with each author via Zoom and worked online via Google Docs, providing them with specific draft feedback and suggestions for clarifying their message and making their story more engaging and relatable. In each case, I tailored the writing and editing process to fit the author’s unique energy, style, and progress level. My work ranged from making a few suggestions for clarity to consulting with the author as we reconstructed and finished their chapter over a period of weeks.
The Outcome:
The result is a beautiful compilation of stories from women on three different continents. With Grace and Grit is full of heart, soul, and courage..
